BVHS Mammography Teams Receive MQSA Recertification

BVHS Mammography Teams Receive MQSA Recertification

10.13.2026

The mammography teams at Bluffton Hospital, EasternWoods Outpatient Center, and Ottawa Diagnostic Center have successfully passed their annual Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) inspections with zero deficiencies.

Each year, facilities that provide mammography services undergo a comprehensive federal inspection through the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under MQSA. These inspections are an important part of ensuring patients receive mammography services that meet rigorous standards for quality, safety, and accuracy.

The inspection evaluates several key aspects of mammography care, including image quality, the qualifications and training of staff and interpreting radiologists, physicist reports, quality assurance processes, and equipment maintenance. Meeting these standards requires consistent attention to detail and a shared commitment to excellence throughout the year.

Achieving zero deficiencies at all three Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) mammography locations is an outstanding accomplishment and reflects the expertise, preparation, and teamwork of our mammography technologists, radiologists, physicists, and support teams. While the inspection happens once a year, the work that makes this achievement possible takes place every day.

This accomplishment is more than a successful inspection. It represents the dedication of our teams to doing things the right way, maintaining high standards, and providing exceptional care to the patients and communities we serve.

Congratulations to these outstanding teams on this achievement. Thank you for your expertise, teamwork, and commitment to quality care.
