“During the months leading up to my appointment at Blanchard Valley Obstetrics & Gynecology, I was planning my life around where the nearest bathrooms were located. I was afraid to be out for too long, since I knew there was a chance I would need to go to the bathroom immediately. When I had to go, I only had a minute or so to find a bathroom…otherwise, I’d have an accident. It was embarrassing, and it was difficult to live my life around the location of bathrooms. I decided I needed help.
The providers at Blanchard Valley Obstetrics & Gynecology were incredible. They were sensitive to what I had been experiencing and explained both surgical and nonsurgical options I should consider. They allowed me the freedom to decide what treatment I felt was best, and I chose a bladder lift. I felt like the providers were treating me as they would treat their own family members. I was nervous that I would be bound to my bed for weeks in pain, but as it turned out I felt better in just a few days. I had very little scarring and noticed a difference right away. Finally, I feel like I’m free.
