Heartsavers Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Instructor Led
Course Description: Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED is intended for those involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Medical emergencies such as insect and animal bites, poisoning, heat and cold-related emergencies, water safety, universal precautions, and exposure to blood.
Course Designed for: This course is specifically designed for those individuals 10-18 years of age who will be babysitting friends, family, or other children this summer.
Age Requirement: Must be between 10 and 18 years of age
Course Length: Classroom instruction approximately 3.5 to 4 hours.
Course Notes: This course provides the student with a Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED card valid for 2 years. Each participant will receive a student workbook and a pocket mask.
Online Notes: This course is instructor-led with no online portion.
Course Cost: Free, fees are covered by a grant from the Blanchard Valley Health Foundation.
