Inclement Weather Plan Level 3 Snow Emergency
01.24.2026
Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) prioritizes the safety of patients, visitors, and associates during severe winter weather. When Hancock County—or any county served by BVHS—reaches a Level 3 snow emergency, select locations and services may close or operate with limited hours.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Level 3 Snow Emergency for Hancock County. Please review the information below for information about BVHS services during the current Level 3 status.
Physician practices, EasternWoods, Carey, Ottawa, The Armes Family Cancer Care Center and Wellness Park services are closed. Patients are being contacted directly by their care teams to determine a plan and, if necessary, reschedule appointments as soon as conditions allow.
Note: If the Level 3 is downgraded before 11 a.m., services will resume at 1 p.m. If the Level 3 remains in effect at or after 11 a.m., services will be closed for the rest of that business day.
Services that Remain Available:
- Lab, radiology, surgery, medical procedures, and emergency services at Findlay and Bluffton Hospitals
- Physicians Plus Urgent Care
- Inpatient, emergency, ancillary services, and CDS
Findlay Surgery Center cases will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Hospital emergency services remain open and available during all weather conditions. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Telehealth Options for Medical Practices
Some Blanchard Valley Medical Practices (BVMP) offices may transition to telehealth appointments when appropriate. Eligible patients will be contacted by office staff to discuss virtual visit options.
